Took my parents there for their wedding anniversary along with a few kids as well. The ambiance is great with a modern rustic feel. Great selection of booze and coffee beverages are very good. The food is fantastic and rich. My 6 year old wasn't a fan so recommend your children are 8-9+ as you need a good palette for the food. I am a local resident and frequent the various bars/restaurants on Dundas regularly for dinner and drinks. We went to the Junction Local on a rather quiet midweek evening. (only around 4 tables full) We were greeted and seated by a rather rude/grumpy seeming waitress who made it very clear that she wanted to go home. Catfish dinner was exceptional and the cocktails were fantastic! Lovely ambience and the wonderful service with visits by the owner was a special touch. Looking forward to returning to sample the other yummy items on the menu.
Highly recommend. Very great food. Loved the baked beans and pulled pork. Service excellent. Will be be back.
I loved the experience of dining at Junction Local. Comfort food with a very creative flair! A casual atmosphere with a rustic feel but trendy and comfortable. Lots of small plate choices too. The owner was playing albums at the bar that a guest brought in - not sure if this is a 'one off' or regular thing, but great music. We'll definitely be back.

Our waitress did not come back to our table to take our drink orders, so we had to flag (who i believe is) the owner to make the order. When I asked for a second drink the waitress forgot to bring me it, while she stood behind the bar making herself one.The food was pretty good - no real complaints there! Beers however are the most expensive on Dundas (7-8 bucks for a 14Oz).We will not be going back.
