Jolly II Italian Restaurant - Toronto

At this restaurant for lunch in June 2017. Have been here in the past for lunch when attending a meeting nearby. Food is always great, veal sandwich delicious, pasta is wonderful. The service is always great, staff very friendly, patient as you decide what to have. It takes a few minutes as very thing always looks delicious. Salads always fresh and full of flavour. Restaurant also has a very nice atmosphere, I have never been for dinner but I'm sure its nice at night too. also very reasonably priced

We have been going to this great spot for years! The food is fantastic! Everything is made on-site, including their pies, cakes and gelato. They recently started serving a monster burger -- you definitely won't walk-away hungry! We love all of their specialty dishes and their pizza. The Fettuccine Con Pollo is my favorite.We love the staff. Coming here is like visiting a good friend!The restaurant is huge, modern, clean and has a beautiful bar area. The patio in the summer is a must! A true gem for the west-end of Toronto.

Veal parmasean and chicken alfredo were average at best. Service was good. Price was a little above average.

This restaurant has been around a long time, so I really can't give it a bad rating. But I was not impressed with the food. Out of fairness, I had food off the buffet rather then ordering off the menu, towards the end of lunch time. The veal parm was denser and the sauce was very tasty. The pasta was dry and somewhat tasteless. The bread tasted store bought. Employees were friendly and the place was clean, but very dated.

We were so pleased to discover Jolly 2 when we first moved to this neighborhood 5 years ago. It's unassuming on the outside; I had to talk my husband into giving it a try! From that first afternoon, having a late lunch on the patio, being served with a smile and courteous efficiency by Solomon, we were hooked. Jolly serves comfort food at its best! Traditional Italian fare bursting with flavour! Our favourite appetiser is the grilled squid. and we also enjoy the bruschetta (no cheese) and the fried calamari. Frankly, we have had every appetizer on the menu and they are all delicious! My go-to entree after a tough day is the gnocchi al pesto; it melts in my mouth. The lasagne is excellent too. My husband loves the veal piccata (and he orders it with fries as a side, which probably makes the chef cringe).! I have friend who still raves about the chicken marsala she had over a year ago. When I feel particularly famished, I go for a panzerotto (fried, not baked) - so huge, chock full of delicious fillings, crisp on the outside, soft and warm on the inside! Again, we have tried all of the entrees and they are all fabulous! Portion sizes are large, so we rarely have room for dessert. but for those with good appetites, Jolly offers a broad range of gelato flavours as well as an assortment of cakes. There is a full bar, with a great selection of beer from Italy and around the world. In my humble opinion, the wine selection is so-so. but I come here for the food, so that's not a deal breaker for me. Over the years, we have brought so many friends, family members, visitors from abroad to eat here, and everyone has loved the food and the warm, welcoming service from Al, Solomon, and the rest of the team. They also do orders for pick-up when we don't have the time to dine out. I cannot say enough good things about this little neighborhood gem of ours! Go to Jolly 2; you will not be disappointed!
