Contribute FeedbackJazz Bistro offers a wonderful atmosphere, live music, and attentive service. While some diners found the menu limited and overpriced, the unique offerings like Jazz Burger received high praise. The venue's proximity to entertainment hotspots like Ed Mirvish Theatre makes it a go-to spot for pre-show dining. However, some guests experienced issues with reservations and food availability. Overall, Jazz Bistro remains a popular choice for jazz enthusiasts looking for a memorable dining experience in Toronto. With delicious food, talented musicians, and friendly service, it's a must-visit spot for a night of jazz and fine dining.
I took my 13 year old niece for dinner during summerlicious. I had the vegan soup which was fresh and tasty and my niece had the kale salad, which she said was very good. For her entree, my niece had the chicken which she said was excellent. Very well cooked and nice flavour. I had the vegan quinoa with squash and pomegranate. It was fairly bland. They gave nice rolls and butter to start with....a cheese and onion biscuit and a whole wheat bun. Both were excellent. For dessert we both had the vegan peach cobbler that came with dairy free ice cream and we both enjoyed it fully. We were fortunate enough to have some jazz groups from a music school performing. Service was fairly slow, but allowed time to enjoy the music fully. We were on the third floor and it was full.
We are at Jazz Bistro before the theatre and told both the host and our server. Unfortunately the kitchen was inundated by the full restaurant and Summerlicious that we barely got our dinner before we had to leave. Chicken and Nudi were ok and tasted like they had been reheated in the microwave with uneven temperature. Music was great and the server did his best but the whole experience was disappointing. SThey took 15% off the bill, acknowledging that it wasn't their best. That gesture was appreciated.Go well before or after the theatre crowd if you really want an enjoyable experience.
This is just across the street from the Ed Mirvish Theatre, great atmosphere, reasonable pricing and lovely food, nicely presented.
We ordered from the summerlicious menu. Chicken was good and lamb was small but tasty! Wait staff is efficient and friendly. Good selection of wines and liquors!
We really like spending time here and usually go there before a show at Mirvish. Menu is interesting and definitely not the "same old". Staff/waiters are genuine and polite. It's also a perfect place for a staff party or an event because they have facilities upstairs. Haven't been there for night life, but I can guess it's a happening place. Treat yourself! Go there!
