Was Anonym at Japango a mag?
fresh. amazing. very small. you're going to get to know your neighbour which is funny because it bothers some stuck up toronto types but is very normal elsewhere in the world. coming back as often as i can afford it View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Japango:
We found a hair in our soup, and not only did the restaurant do nothing to correct it, but the staff were unfirendly and unhelpful. This is the second time I have received soup with a hair in it at Japango. One year ago I found a long black hair in my soup and when I showed the staff they did nothing, so I did not go back for a long time. When I finally went back, I ate there twice more and on one of those occasions... View all feedback.
I visited a small restaurant that reminded me of a typical sushi place in Japan. I tried the deluxe chirashi don, and while it looked great, it didn't taste as good as I hoped. The rice was clumpy and not fresh. The sashimi had a good variety of fish, but some pieces, including the expensive ones, were blowtorched. There were also too many filler garnishes that I had to remove. I paid $12 less during the Ritual Food Fest, which I thought was decent value. If it had been full price, I don't think it would have been worth it.
I did not like sushi before eating here. But here, every piece of sashimi tasted fresh and unique. Sometimes with bad sashimi you get this awful texture but the sashimi here all had very pleasant textures.Ordered the chirashi bowl, sashimi set and a sushi set. I enjoyed the hamachi and tuna the most. The sushi rice is cooked perfectly. Also really liked their salad dressing, it has a strong sesame taste. The place is very small with seating super close to the next table. People can be loud.
A small, cozy restaurant that never disappoints! The Chirashi Supreme will fill you right up a delicious selection of fresh sashimi that melts in your mouth. The rice was cooked to perfect and complemented each piece of fish perfectly. If you're coming here with a larger party definitely try to make reservations considering how they can only seat 20 people or so.
Lunch Chirashi was so good Best Chirashi ever had before!!! The chef was so friendly 1000% Come back
