It is with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of our 137 Peter Street Bar Hop location. The past few years have been a journey filled with challenges, particularly since the onset of the pandemic, which reshaped many aspects of our lives. While we held onto hope for a return to the vibrant days of old, we faced a slow recovery in downtown, rising costs, and a general sentiment that times are tougher for everyone. Despite our best efforts to keep the spirit of Bar Hop alive across multiple locations, we've come to understand that sometimes good things must come to an end. We want to assure our loyal patrons that the original Bar Hop location at 391 King St W remains open and ready to serve you all the great offerings you’ve come to love. We extend our deepest gratitude to all our customers, staff, and business partners who have supported us during our decade at Peter Street. The memories we’ve built together are cherished, and we will miss the unique community we created in that special place. Thank you for being a part of our journey.

Hop is an amazing spot with an excellent variety of draft beers. The food is delicious, and the service is outstanding! Cost per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: A nice selection of veggie choices. View all feedback.
The service was warm and attentive. However, I want to point out that the menu advertised buck-a-shuck oysters with the purchase of a non-alcoholic drink, but we were informed upon arrival that this offer only applies with alcoholic beverages, which was a bit disappointing. Nevertheless, the nachos are a must-try, and the buck-a-shuck oysters are always a great deal (we ordered 48 oysters for just the two of us). The pretzel was average, and if you're choosing between the gochujang chicken bites and the cauliflower, I recommend the cauliflower. The Caesar drinks were pretty standard. The atmosphere inside was relaxed and dimly lit, making it a nice place to unwind. Parking is limited; you'll need to find street parking or use a nearby garage (there’s one close by that offers $7 parking after 7 PM from Sunday to Thursday). When we first arrived, we were unsure of the main entrance and ended up coming in through the patio doors. By the time we left, we realized where the actual front door was located. Overall, it was a good night out despite a few quirks. Price per person: $40-50 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
