Contribute FeedbackHong Shing in Toronto offers a mix of experiences, with some diners raving about the delicious food, excellent service, and festive atmosphere, while others have encountered some disappointing mishaps like dead cockroaches in their dishes or forgotten dipping sauces. Despite some mixed reviews, the restaurant seems to attract a loyal following for its generous portions and reasonable prices. With a variety of tasty dishes and a bustling late-night vibe, Hong Shing appears to be a popular choice for those looking for a satisfying meal in the heart of the city.
Really enjoyed this meal. Fresh veggies and tender chicken . The pork wing ton soup was very tasty.<br/ <br/ This meal was the combo for one and I ended up with a doggie bag. Would recommend and will certainly return when in the area.
Didn’t even know this place existed and it’s a great place if you’re craving Chinese food. I really enjoyed the e-fu noodles and the lady at the counter was super nice!
There’s a reason Hong Shing has been around 10+ years. Staff know how to get you in and seated quickly. Food is always hot and delicious. Whether eating in or taking out, Hong Shing is my go-to late night spot
This restaurant is one of the best I have visited. The ambiance is so amazing that you will be in awe as soon as you walk in. I ordered a variety of dishes and all of them were delicious and flavorful. The presentation of the food made my mouth water just looking at it. I highly recommend this place as a must-visit.
I couldn't resist writing this review even at 4:20am! It's been ages since I had dinner after dessert, but it was worth it. I walked into this charming, laid-back Asian restaurant around 10pm. The best part? It's open late for all you night owls looking for a late-night snack. My girlfriend and I opted for the dinner for two. We started with 2 spring rolls (3/5) that were crispy and nice, though I've had better. Next up were the crispy chicken wings (5/5) which I absolutely loved. They were perfectly crispy and flavorful, with a fresh and inviting aroma. The pork wonton soup (2/5) was decent but not quite to my liking, as I'm not a big fan of broths. The chicken fried rice (4/5) was tasty and full of flavor. The beef with veggies (5/5) was a wholesome main dish, with beef slices, celery, broccoli, mushrooms, and perhaps spinach. It was mild and well-balanced. The highlight of the meal was the Cantonese BBQ platter, which included crispy BBQ pork belly, soy chicken, and roasted duck. It was phenomenal (10/5)! I'm not a fan of duck, but my girlfriend loved it. I couldn't get enough of the chicken and pork belly. I highly recommend enjoying it with a beer—I chose Coors Light. Although I'm not a big beer enthusiast, as a certified beer expert, I can attest to the light and crisp nature of Coors Light. It pairs perfectly with the rich BBQ meats and cleanses your palate with each sip. A great combination. Our total bill came to $58, including 2 beers. Hong Shing is well worth a visit. Don't miss out! Overall rating: 8.5/10.
