Hey, owner of Function since 2018 you replied to my review and said you were doing an internal investigation and provided your email address. I just wanted to let you know that your reply is missing. Would you still like to talk to me? I no longer have a way to contact you. It pains me to leave this review. A week ago, I had a very scary experience here, as a woman who was alone (later in the evening), upon bringing the situation to the male bartender 's attention, the dismissive attitude I received from him was utterly lacking. I have been a patron of this establishment since 2019. I have watched it flourish, then change management, and sadly spiral. This outcome is both frustrating and heartbreaking (Function truly was THE hidden gem in Y&E) Function is no longer a place where women should attend alone at night, the bar has many unsavoury clientele that leer at women and harass them, and requests to the male bartender for help go unaided. There is a specific bartender (a Latino man) who is highly dismissive of women 's concerns for their safety, and he seems to fraternize with some of the questionable men who are harassing women. I hope the new owner, if they even read this, may consider the safety of their female customers a priority and seek to rectify this. This was such a unique and wonderful establishment, 2019-2022. Just be aware that they do not serve food after 11 o'clock, so if you're looking for a late-night snack, keep that in mind. The live music is pretty good, but we were not informed that there was an additional $10 charge per person for the live music. After our food arrived, they asked us to either pay the $10 to stay or leave. We didn't even have a chance to take a bite of our food yet. Overall, my experience was fine, but it would have been better if guests were informed of the $10 charge for live music upon arrival instead of being caught off guard after already being seated. They have board games like Jenga and Cards Against Humanity if you want to play with friends. The atmosphere is lovely and perfect for gatherings. The music is decent, and the food is alright.
