We weren't even taken to our seats. We ordered a bottle of wine which was brought to the table promptly. Dinner was fairly quickly prepared as well. My pasta was like glue, it was all stuck together, two or three pieces thick, 1/2 cooked, raw and over cooked all in one gloppy mess...unedible! Lobster was horrible...the roe was still black but the meat in the tail and claws where dry and tough. The bill was altered to take off the pasta but it was definitely obvious that there wasn't a trained chef in the kitchen. If there was he should be fired! Will not go back again.

So we promptly went upstairs to try Fred's not here.... read more We frequented the Red Tomato downstairs from Fred's in the past but were very disappointed in the service. So we promptly went upstairs to try Fred's not here. Our waiter Scott was very welcoming and recommended the lobster and crab soup which was very good. Combination off the Summerlicious menu, I took on the Paella. Plenty of seafood including 1/2 a lobster. Very tasty. Followed up by the chocolate Gelato. After a disappointing start at "the tomato" it turned out to be a goodnight in "The Big Smoke."

It started with the rudeness of the waitress who took us to our table, which didn't bother us that much. We ordered then two medium-well steaks that took almost one hour to get to our table, and when they arrived, they were basically raw. We both left our barely cooked food untouched at the table, paid the bill, and got out of there. What a waste of time and money!

When we got to the restaurant, it was fairly empty (only about 4 other occupied tables). We were seated at our table and the experience went downhill from there. The service was horrible (and the food was average). The waitress was not friendly at all. She acted as if she was serving food in a prison. No hi , how are you? , how 's your meal? . No responses to the several times we said thank-you in an attempt to be friendly with her, just a serious face with minimal eye contact. After paying for our bill, she didn 't say a single word, she just handed our receipts to us and walked away. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Your money would be best spent elsewhere. The customer service is seriously lacking.
