Duke's Refresher + Bar - Toronto

I live 2 blocks away and have been coming frequently over the past year. It's an underrated place on the beer geek scene that has some great craft taps that are slowly pushing out the macro taps.Vibe is loud and sports bar like, but mostly retro music playing so easy to get comfortable quick.Walking access access to tons of hotels in the area.Staff is great (I always go to the bar), and some really know their beer and love to chat (kudos, Eric!).Grabbed food only once, but burger was quick and tasty.

Dukes Bar what a lovely bar felt homely and welcoming lovely staff and great food and beers of course.

We popped into this bar without expectation, we had great drinks and excellent service from the bar staff. There was also an altercation with a man who couldn't pay for his bill but all of the staff involved were calm, professional and maintained a great atmosphere throughout to ensure the other guests felt safe and comfortable. I will definitely be returning here!

We got a recommendation from the Chelsea Hotel late at night that their Kitchen was still open on a Thursday night. Ran over their had a bunch of drinks (Old Fashioned), a great dinner, and great server who took good care of us. Made us so happy that we showed up the next two days as well!

Super friendly staff that made us feel at home. Engaging and knew the menu. The food was great..try the fish and chips or burgers..
