The food was not great. Halloumi bites had minimal halloumi in them, chips too heavy and oily and chicken was dry. Not ideal that this place has been incorporated into the restaurant- I suspect it was much better as a stand alone place. The menu items can be found at the Smith House restaurant within their menu. There is no longer any sign on the window to indicate but I thought this would help others. We got the grilled hot and sweet sandwich and the classic fried chicken sandwich. Both amazing. Don't tell anyone. Run there. Server was also extremely nice. So delicious and welcoming! My partner and I came here for dinner before our movie date across the street. I didn't realize how close to closing we came in (my bad! , but the owner still happily seated and served us. It's a spot with a low-key vibe, where the walls are decorated with posters for movies that play at the local Revue Cinema. We got the combo of 24 wings 2 sides 1 sauce. The wings were crispy and delicious, and they were made even better with a dip into the honey dill sauce. I even liked them with just a squeeze of the lemon wedge on top. The poutine hit the spot too, but my favourite side was the pasta salad. It has a tangy pesto dressing, opposed to the usual plain creamy dressing most fried chicken spots have.I will definitely come back here the next time I am catching a movie at the Revue.
