I asked for no white... read more Dessert was great but for some reason the waitress was really confused two of us asked to substitute one of the ingredients in our waffles. I asked for no white buttons and to add strawberries but got both, without any sauce. My friend asked for darkchocolate on the side but got white chocolate, then milk chocolate so we just gave up on sending that back. The waitress alsodidn?t check in on our table but it was very busy so I understand.

Very cho... read more Got the Tongue Depressor on a waffle and it was delicious! I usually enjoy their crepes more but decided to try their waffles and was not disappointed. Very chocolate-y and sweet, I definitely would not be able to eat the entire plate by myself (we splitthis four way and it was just perfect). If you are a chocolate fan this is for you! This location has great service and verycute aesthetic. Would recommend!

The desserts we ordered were,... read more We've been visiting Demetres for years, mostly the Danforth location, which is excellent, and now this one for the past few years. The desserts we ordered were, as always, delicious, but the service here was disappointing. It’s such a shame because poor service really affects the overall experience. I ordered a coffee, and when it arrived, it was cold—not even warm. When I finally got the server's attention, she apologized and mentioned something about the machine being off. Still, how did no one notice it wasn’t hot? After waiting another 10 minutes, I inquired again and was told it was on its way. By the time we finished our desserts, the server returned and asked if I still wanted the coffee since we seemed ready to leave. There was also an issue with one of the desserts missing the extra topping we requested, but we didn’t send it back. When I asked for the bill, I was surprised to see the cold coffee charged to us. It was removed, we paid, and left. This is the second consecutive visit with problems, and it will likely be our last time at this location.

Then, to our horror, we found a human hair in our ice cream, which was incredibly unpleasant. When we informed the staff, they simply apologized after a few minutes, but neither a supervisor nor a manager came to address the issue. We expected not to be charged for the second item, but this was refused. Instead, they suggested we order something else from the menu. Reluctantly, we ordered a new banana split to avoid wasting our money, although we really didn’t want to pay for it. The bill totaled around 50 CAD for just two items. For our first visit to this Demetres location, the poor customer service and overall experience were very disappointing. We cannot recommend this place to anyone.
