I got some ground espresso from here for a gift. They only had whole beans packaged but they can grind to your desired level and reseal the bag so it remains fresh. There is more seating in the back that is hidden, and free WiFi. It's a good place to meet with friends or to work. Spacious, well lit, and the music is not too loud. Baked goods look good but I didn't try them. View all feedback.
What YtFLS 1 doesn't like about Dark Horse Espresso:
The loaf was good and the coffee average; however none of that matters after the terrible service. We were waiting for our drinks at the designated pickup spot but found mine at a different place but when I asked for the other drink we ordered, they said they threw it away to the trash because no one had picked it up. By far the best London fog in Toronto! It is a great spot to grab some caffeine or quick snack. The ham and cheese croissant is yummy too.
Dark Horse is a lovely café in Chinatown on the east side of Spadina north of Queen, with a lovely grand space with big windows, large communal tables, friendly efficient staff, and of course great coffee and sweets.
Good coffee and other food stuff best place that you can visit with your friends.Nice place to hang out with friends.Have burger over here it's one of the best
Had a latte once, then came back again, and then came back again. They make a good cup of coffee that is strong and just the way I like it. Relaxed atmosphere in a great central location. Will be back next time I go to Toronto.
Always use to pass thru this overtly crowded cafe in Chinatown close to Queen street and Spadina intersection.. Finally tried it today.. Ordered a Cappuchino French press Dark roast)..French Press: $3.66) they crush beans freshly and made press in an authentic way keeping for more than a minute.. Came out strong and flavorfulCappuchino $3.50): was decent..Tat was for pros.. Cons are:1) Spoons kept at sugar-milk counter were stained even if they were washed..2) We had taken coffee to be had in the cafe.. They have very small coffee Cups compared to other popular independent cafe in Downtown..To sum up, good in flavor but price higher than proportion.. Which may make me think twice wen I wud want to go again
