Contribute FeedbackChristina's restaurant in Toronto is a popular spot with mixed reviews. Some diners have had negative experiences, with complaints ranging from overcooked and poorly presented dishes, mistakes with orders, and unresponsive service. However, many patrons have had positive experiences, praising the delicious food, attentive service, and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant offers generous portions of tasty Greek cuisine, a cozy ambiance, and live music and entertainment on weekends. With a mix of highs and lows, Christina's seems to be a hit-or-miss dining destination that some will love while others may want to pass on.
In a nutshell, service was adequate, food was terrible and it was overpriced. Star rating 3 at best. Based on a google search we ended up at Christina's for dinner May 3rd. It was noted as one of the best for Greek on the Danforth. Unfortunately I didn't check the reviews before hand and was very disappointed. I can say without hesitation this was the worst slouvlaki dinner I have ever eaten. We had a chicken, pork and two lamb and there was quite a bit of food we did not eat. Meat was fatty and tasteless. Salad was poorly put together. The dressing tasted and looked like lit came from a bottle or jar and was just dumped on it. And to top it even though there were other wait staff there we waited 30 minutes for our bill after asking for it 3 times. We ended up going the the register ourselves and even then he didn't have the bill ready. How this restaurant ended on top 5 for Greek on Danforth is a mystery to me. I would not recommend this restaurant.
My souvlaki consisted of 6 shrivelled up chunks of tough and very badly overcooked pork. I still have the burnt taste in my mouth. When the waiter took our plates (I had left much of my meal uneaten) I told him that it was not good at all. He said that I should have told him earlier and he would have gotten me another one. Had I done that, my wife would have been finished her meal by the time mine arrived, so I decided against it. He kept insisting that I should have said something, obviously not realizing that I just had. The bill came with no adjustment or consideration for my complaint. Very bad experience.
I went with my wife and a dear friend for a Greek lunch. We were served by Robert, an amazing soul who made the lunch and the environment a more pleasant experience. The food was very tasty, cooked to its perfection. We will go back with a bigger group of friends soon. I recommend this place to all living in or visiting Toronto, Ontario. Michael Ghorashi
It's nice that at lunch we were offered both a lunch menu (my wife ordered from it) and a dinner menu (me). The vegetarian moussaka was really good; the lamb shank with orzo was very tasty. Authentic Greek coffee was a great finisher.
Recipe for one of the best birthday celebrations in 75 years of birthdays: great food, great friends, great decor, and a lot of laughs, thanks our animated waiter at Christinas. Highlights were the best french fries ever, and the special Saganaki, a flaming haloumi cheese dish, presented with flare by the wonderful waiter, Tommy.
