My wife and I had dinner at The Captain's Boil with our daughter and her boyfriend. This was the first time I was here, but not the first time I have been in this style of restaurant. Lots of food choices on menu's and reasonably priced. Our waiter was friendly and took care of all our dining needs during our meal. Service was fast and food portions were good. Between the four of us, we had a bag of mild and medium s... View all feedback.
What webpup doesn't like about Captain's Boil York Mills:
This is an honest review, we’ve been to the Yonge location, and the Shepard locations and the service was terrible but the food was good, this time at the York Mills location, everything was a let down, and on Mother’s Day, they have no organization and they are cheap and suspicious, they said if we paid cash we would get free wings, nothing, the portions are smaller than any location and the fried rice was bland, th... The Captain Boil is a place where one can indulge in the pleasures of the sea, without leaving the comforts of the city. It is a place where one can feast on the bounty of the ocean, without breaking the bank. It is a place where one can experience the joy of eating with one’s hands, without losing one’s dignity.I visited the Captain Boil on a weekday afternoon, when they offer an all-you-can-eat option for a reasonable price Less $30 a person). I was greeted by a friendly staff, who explained the rules and the menu. I chose the seafood boil, which included shrimp, mussels, clams, corn, and potatoes. I also selected the garlic butter sauce, which promised to enhance the flavor of the food. The food arrived in a large plastic bag, steaming and fragrant. I put on the gloves and the bib and prepared to dive in. I was not disappointed. The seafood was fresh and the sauce was rich and savory, and the corn and potatoes were tender and satisfying. I ate little past the point I could take no more, and then I ate some more. The Captain Boil is not a place for the faint of heart, the delicate of stomach or those who do not have the time to enjoy. It is a place for the adventurous, the hungry, and those who have at least $30 to spend on lunch. It is a place where one can enjoy the simple pleasures of life, without worrying about the consequences. It is a place where one can find happiness, for a moment, in a bag of spicy shrimps.I left the Captain Boil with a full belly, a happy heart, and a slightly lighter wallet. I spent less than $30, and I felt like I had a feast. I recommend the Captain Boil to anyone who has the time, loves seafood, and who is not afraid to get messy.Vegetarian options: For those that see seafood as vegetarian, then yes.Parking: Multiple restaurants so it can get busy at lunch.Wheelchair accessibility: Great access
Really liked this specific Captains Boil. I find that the consistency of the Captains Boil sauce really varies from one location to another. We got shrimp and mussel seafood boils and it was plenty of food for 2
Captains boil is always so addictive esp with the captains boil sauce. Service is decent and atmosphere looks a little outdated.
The menu pricing needs to be updated!!!. You cannot have one cost on your menu then tell your customers otherwise when they sit and ready to order. Always something at this location! I have had enough! You need to get your act together. I use to enjoy eating here before but my pass two experiences has been unacceptable!
This was my first time coming to this location with my friend. The food wasn’t bad tasted really good. I ordered snow crab and I wanted corn as a side. Did not get the corn and yet was still charged for it. She berated my friend because she didn’t tip her. When I was going to be the one to cover the tip. I kept asking to see the receipt and she refused to hand it to me because I knew she would charge me for the items I NEVER even got! The bill was $74 plus an $18 tip that I was forced to give because I paid without seeing my receipt. Then she tried to act like she didn’t know and wouldn’t give my money back. But instead gave me the missing corn with the SMALLEST container of sauce which wasn’t even the correct sauce she gave me the spiciest sauce they had which I gave to my mother not knowing. Who has a heart condition and cannot eat such spice. Honestly steer clear of this location such a disgusting customer service.
