I usually get their regular breakfast but I decided to get their chicken and waffles with a side of yam fries. The yam fries were great but the waffles weren’t as fresh as they usually are. Even my friend said I made a better waffle at home and the fruits were dark like they are over ripe, not visually appealing. It took 30 minutes to be served. There was also something wrong with the washroom door, it was very hard to open from the inside. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

The flavor was really good, rich, and refreshing, making it a perfect summer treat. However, I was disappointed by the lack of cones during both of my visits. When I asked about cones, the staff told me cones are only made in the morning and they weren’t willing to make any more in the afternoon. Their unapologetic and matter-of-fact attitude about this was quite dismissive, especially given the $8 price point and the fact that it’s summertime, customers should definitely have the option of enjoying their ice cream in a cone. This was my second visit, first in June during the Pina Colada Ice Cream of the Month and then again just yesterday and unfortunately, the same issue persisted both times. Additionally, the staff’s unwelcoming demeanor made the experience feel less friendly and accommodating than I would have hoped. For a spot that prides itself on premium ice cream and baked goods, better customer service and more flexibility when it comes to cones would significantly improve the overall experience. Overall, Butter Baker offers tasty ice cream with unique flavors and quality ingredients, but the repeated cone issue and lack of welcoming customer care leave room for improvement. I hope they take this feedback seriously and consider making cones available throughout the day, along with fostering a more customer-friendly atmosphere. That said, I’m not sure I’ll give it a third opportunity. Premium price, no cones, and a side of attitude? Sorry Butter Baker, but this flavour’s leaving a bad taste.
