What a fabulous find!! The food is amazing and the service, thoughtful and attentive! Beautiful, Authentic schnitzels, great, meaty cabbage rolls, awesome juicy pork chops, super cucumber salad. The goulash soup and the bean soups are also marvellous!! My husband also loved the dobos torte! We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this super Hungarian restaurant!! View all feedback.

I recently returned to Toronto from Hungary and despite trying several Hungarian restaurants in my hometown to impress my foreign friends with the delicious cuisine, nothing compares to the authentic and mouth-watering dishes my grandmother used to make. The experience at Budapest Restaurant was a true blast from the past, evoking memories and comfort that only Hungarian food can provide. The friendly service went above and beyond, even fetching cottage cheese for our dessert after running out at the end of our meal. The staff made us feel at home and the overall experience was fantastic. Thank you Budapest Restaurant for the amazing food and hospitality!

Great Hungarian food! We had the Budapest plate for two and then the Dobos Torta (Kochkuchen and Krepp with Nutella. The Budapest plate for 2 was an absolutely large part of the food that could feed 3 people easily! Started with cabbage roll with some onions as an appetizer and it tasted almostastic and reminded me of my youth: . Then the main plate came out and we were thrown back by the amount of food, the beautiful aromas and the colorful overall fantastic presentation. The service was also fantastic and the outdoor terrace is great to enjoy the summer weather while eating a good meal. The Dobos Torta, which is a 12-layered chocolate cake, was Aboslutely beautiful aroma and the crepe with Nutella was a large portion and quickly crocheted up! The hotel is located on the Danforth right next to a bicycle lane with parking, so very easy to get there by bike. Overall a great experience and already plan to go back!

Much more accessible than its old location, especially on the Danforth. Service is fast and efficient and the food is still amazing. Very authentic. Perogies were filled and tasteful. The Cordon Bleu was excellent! Would definitely come back for the other dishes.

I absolutely love the new location, especially being right on Danforth with plenty of parking nearby. The platter was outstanding as always, even better than I had remembered. The fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The schnitzels were full of flavor and not dry at all. The cabbage rolls were a delicious way to begin the meal. The seating was plentiful and well spaced out from each other.

The service from our server was outstanding - friendly and attentive. The food was good overall, but it was evident that it had been reheated. The cabbage roll was warm on the outside but cooler inside, indicating reheating. The schnitzel was dry and the coating was not crispy, suggesting it had been cooked earlier and reheated. The highlight was the crepe, although the walnut filling tasted overly sweet. Despite the unique menu offerings, I would rate this restaurant 3.5 stars (rounded up to 4 stars). I am willing to give them another chance in the future and will update my review accordingly.
