I ordered the Deluxe Schnitzel sandwich and Beef Goulash todayThe sandwich was excellent (I really liked the addition of eggs and bacon), but the soup really took the crown. I will definitely be ordering again, and I liked it so much that I want to try making something similar at home myself over the winter!I will certainly make the trip up to this restaurant in the future alsoThank youChris View all feedback.
What Nancy Huynh doesn't like about Bread & Butter:
If you want a microwaved schnitzel that’s been sitting out without temp control, made by a woman wearing no gloves and touches everything and then the food she prepares for you this place is for you. Not to mention tables sat out with dirty dishes on them for a while. Would give zero stars if possible. View all feedback.
This family owned neighbourhood restaurant offers great home cooking in a friendly, affordable, cozy atmosphere. With a European flair,Mira the chef offers my favourite dishes; cabbage rolls, Wiener schnitzel, and fantastic deli sandwiches. Save room for her famous baklava or other delicious deserts.
Love their hand crafted deli style sandwiches and fabulous baked goods. Excellent, Hungarian style food.
My husband and I popped in for lunch one day when out for a walk. We both chose sandwiches from the specials board - meatloaf for me and chicken for him. Both were enormous, filled with roasted vegetables and salad and nice sauces. Huge fresh salad on the side too. We really enjoyed it. Nice, but very strong, coffee served. Was safe to say we didn't need a big dinner that evening but we're very tempted by the German cakes in the counter - next time!
Nothing fancy, just very good food and very accommodating people (from the chef-owners to the service staff). The goulash soup is wonderful. The egg dishes are excellent. My friends go there for the schnitzel, and claim it is outstanding. The sandwiches are diverse and consistently tasty.Everything that is important is very good, and the prices and value is excellent.Although it may cost me a seat someday, it is too good not to be highly recommended.
In addition to an assortment of very tasty sandwiches, egg dishes and salads, their Eastern European food (and especially the goulash soup) is a joy . According to friends , their schnitzel is outstanding. Not fancy, just good food at very reasonable prices.
