OK, people. In tonight's Support The East End, hot tip!!! We checked out the brand new City Betty tonight, 1352 Danforth. It was only their 3rd service. The place was packed, and every minute or two, someone had to be turned away, because it is not huge. The chef is from Geraldine and Farmhouse Tavern. The owner is an East ender. GREAT food, reasonably priced for what you get, interesting wines, solid cocktails. No r... View all feedback.
What Ashtyn Koss doesn't like about Betty’s General:
Very tasty food, small portion thou and very clean place, however the service is not the best I’m so disappointed) You must have reservation otherwise is really hard they take you just walk in, for example when we arrive the hostess mentioned it will be 15 minutes waiting and she told us we can wait outside, seriously?...at that time it was snowing! After that we took the table we were ready to order and she told us... View all feedback.
We had a great experience at City Betty for dinner. We tried to go to brunch, but reservations fill out the place and it is difficult for walks. Dinner was still a great, really local tasting, good portions. Both the burger and the pasta were great and quite expensive. Many parking spaces on the Danforth. The place is somewhat narrow, but has many small and medium tables, with lots of natural light on the front. It is very sweet. Service was really nice and food came fast. It is not all super innovative, but a solid good meal!
Pretty incredible food! Creative, beautiful and tasty. Really incredible service! Top Notch. I just walked by and went in without really knowing what to expect and was really blown away. Recommend and will definitely come back!
The atmosphere is bright and clean. The staff were all very friendly and friendly, especially when we visited a 4 years old. We went to brunch and found the plate selections unique and not the standard brunch fair. After selecting our food (pictured in this review) and tasting everything, I can tell you that all flavors came together well and was delicious. I have the meaning that a lot of care has been placed in these recipes. I definitely recommend this place as an interesting and decadent alternative to the regular fatty spoon brunch you can get elsewhere and boot at reasonable prices.
We finally made it out to this restaurant with the family for breakfast. The food is good and the ingredients are fresh, local seasonal ingredients. The peach jelly I had with my pan cakes was super fresh and just sweet enough. Super friendly staff and owner, the atmosphere is good. I'm excited to have this addition to the neighbourhood.
Nice place, great and contemporary service. Many interesting menu options. Closed on Benny and the jets with bacon. Thought it was super delicious, all flavors mixed very well with each other. We went in and waited not at all (May helped that it was 1:30 and a super rainy day). You take Resos, which is a bonus for a Brunchplatz. Would definitely recommend.
