This used to be Sultan Kabob, though the menu hasn't changed. I ordered the grilled salmon dinner and it was pretty good. The portion size was more than enough like other Afghan restaurants. Don't go for their wraps, though. My friend ordered it and it fell apart. Like what's the point of a wrap if it doesn't wrap its contents? View all feedback.
What TorontoMusicman doesn't like about Bamiyan Kabob:
A bright place with quite few tables. The chicken tandoori dinner was not great. The chicken is very dry while the salad is very heavy on the onions. The rice is bland. the bread was warm and quite good. They do not accept credit cards: only cash or debit. View all feedback.

Bamiyan Kabob is a local favorite, highly recommended by many, and understandably so. The food is fresh, cooked to order with portions that are more than enough. If you’ve never had Afghanistan cuisine, this is the place to dine; you will not be disappointed. The atmosphere is casual so don’t expect anything fancy. It’s close to the Aviva Centre, very convenient for those attending the Rogers Cup (tennis).
Clean, quick service (counter). We had the Tandoori Chickens Dinners for $13.99 each comes with lots of chicken, half a plate of rice, salad and a huge piece of naan. The food was as delicious as it was plentiful! Highly recommended!
We were on a getaway and wanted to try a type of cuisine that we had never tried before. WOW!!! This restaurant has introduced us to a new addiction Afghani cuisine! It is a fun and friendly place where you go to the counter to place your order, and they make it up fresh on the spot. The counter staff are welcoming and eager to explain each of the menu items. The wait was short, and the dinners we received were piping hot and smelled wonderful. They tasted just as incredible as they smelled! Every bite is an explosion of very different and exotic herbs and spices. One of us had the tandoori chicken dish, and the other had choppan (lambchops). Both came with aromatic and tasty brown basmati rice, a salad with yogurt dressing, a lovely tomato cilantro salad, and the biggest freshest piece of naan bread we had ever seen. We loved it so much that we went back the next night and both had the sultani dish, which is a massive cut of steak plus an amazing Afghani ground beef, with the same marvellous accompaniments. We enjoyed it just as much the next night. As a matter of fact, the portions were so huge we ate the rest of that dinner the following day at breakfast AND at lunch! Everything on the menu is very reasonably priced, especially when you consider the quality and the very generous portions. I wish we lived close by so we could try the entire menu! Luckily, I have found that there are a number of Bamiyan Kabob locations in the Toronto area.
