Alexandros the Great is a restaurant with staff who may not be the friendliest, but their pork Suvlaki is the most delicious I have ever tasted. Even though I used to live in Canada, every time I go back I make sure to have at least 2 of those a night. Just a note, I am not Greek so I am not biased in my opinion. - Tarek View all feedback.
What Elinore Fritsch doesn't like about Alexandro's Take-out:
Ordered Greek fries, greek salad and chicken souvlaki for lunch. The greek fries were nice sprinkled with feta. The greek salad was below average and bland. There was no dressing. The tsatziki was average - they don't make it themselves. Alexandro's buys the sauce in bulk. Was disappointed. View all feedback.
This is my go-to spot for gyros on the Danforth. I never understood the hype about Messini's... This place is far superior. It's a great option for a late night meal.
I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant since it first opened. The food here is outstanding. Don't forget to try the Greek fries, which are topped with feta cheese and are delicious. This is the perfect spot to visit after a night out at the club. I highly recommend it to anyone who is hungry and craving a satisfying meal after a night of partying. Forget about street food, try Alexandros instead!

Chicken or pork gyros made the traditional way on a rotisserie. Always busy late nights with people looking for fast, good, moderately priced eats.
I was on a spontaneous trip to Toronto during Labor Day weekend and was looking forward to a delicious Gyro on a pita. I stopped here because of the convenience of take out and it seemed reasonably busy. The gyro meat choices were chicken and beef so I chose the latter wrongfully assuming I was getting typical gyro meet. What I ended up with were small pieces of roasted beef, many with gristle and inedible. Those that were edible had virtually no flavor. I ordered the dinner and the fries were soggy at best and the pita was dryer than a pita should be. If this is "one of the best Gyros in town," I'd be really scared of the worst. I left hungry and disappointed. Don't make the mistake I made. There are so many other options.
