Was Edwin Gusikowski at Aish Tanoor a mag?
My wife & I ate here. We had Grilled Chicken shishkabab , steamed vegetables and Laffa pita bread. There was pickled sliced beets and cole slaw also. The meal was served promptly. The food was delicious. The food was kosher View all feedback.

What TimR dislikes about Aish Tanoor:
Got the chicken shawarma pita. Not impressed with the price at all. The food itself was a 3-4/5. Nobody seemed happy in there. Literally payed $18 dollars for this lol. You can get entire combos, better quality, in the 15 dollar range in Toronto. Impossible to recommend this place for me because of price alone. ?‍Place looks nice tho from the Inside. Mediterranean food is their specialty. Table service isn't bad. Very helpful wait staff. Would be 5 stars but have to wait forever to get food for takeout after we finished our dinner.

Best Laffa anywhere in Toronto is here. We ordered the chicken skewer dinner and the meat kabob. And also the salad appetizer which consists of hummus and four other salads. The entree came with French fries. All was delicious including the mini plates of salads...that are served complimentary. Owner is from Jerusalem like my mom

Laffa, turkey and lamb shawarma...when it comes to Israeli food, maybe I'm just an easy sell. This was right up there with one of the best meals I've had in a long time. My wife and I were so thrilled with Aish Tanoor. Our server...was an A+.

Food and Service were very good, but on a hot summer day, with no air conditioning, we were dripping with sweat while trying to eat and had to keep getting up and going outside so as not to faint from the heat inside the restaurant.

I stumbled upon this restaurant totally by accident. I left downtown on my way to take Allen Road North. I was on Eglinton, getting hungry and deciding to stop for lunch. I happened.to park right in front of Aish Tanoor. The name and the very...interesting looking front facade aroused my curiosity, because it didn 't say what type of resturant it was, Always adventurous, I went inside to ask what kind of food they served. The answer was Isreali . Being totally ignorant of what that meant, I decided to give it a try. Rather than going for a kibab or shawarma that I had somne knowledge, I ordered a Sabich Plate, which is a combination plate of four types of veggie salads surrounding a chip pea hummus, which is something I never had before, and would not have ordered. They came with a deliciously looking and tasting Laffa flat bread fresh out of the oven. Of all viggies, egg plant is probably my least favorite because I don 't like the mushy texture.. Two of the salads on my Sabich Plate were eggplant. OH OH! The first one was a grilled sliced egg plant that wasn 't mushy, which i could eat and enjoyed, and the second was eggland salad with diced tomatoes in a creamy colour sauce. For an eggplant disliker, It was fabulously ghood, and I fished the whole portion. The thrid salad was diced tomatos, also not my favorite, but it was ok The fourth was mint leaves salad with cous cous, totally strange to me but i tried and I liked it. The chip pea hummus was delicious, and the Laffa bread as a wrap just made all the salads tasted even better. This would not have been my favorite type of resturant and I would not have liked the menu items. Chance brought me there, and I tried something very different and I liked it. I have told my foodie friends and we will come back to try more of their dishes. Because I didn 't try that many dishes and I didn 't know what to order that I like, I could only give 4 star to the review. It can easily go up to 5 star if I order the food I like next time. By the way, the young man who was my server was most patient and helpful educating this totally ignorant customer.

Overall, the reviews for the restaurant were quite mixed. Some customers were extremely disappointed with the food, stating that it lacked flavor and was barely edible. They also mentioned poor service and a desire for the old owner to return. On the other hand, there were positive reviews praising the authentic Middle Eastern food, reasonable prices, and friendly service. Customers recommended dishes such as the merguez shakshuka and the shawarma with steamed vegetables. Despite the varying opinions, it seems like Aish Tanoor has its loyal fans who appreciate the quality of the food and the dining experience.

The wrap used to have way more chicken and veggies before. Although it’s still tasty and clean , it’s not the same anymore. Two wraps, one baba ganush and 1 grilled eggplant, total $63. The grilled eggplant is a rip off . BTW this place is no longer run by middle eastern. .

If you are looking for delicious middle eastern cuisine at a reasonable price point check out this restaurant. Service with a smile from the friendly servers and staff. Nice selection of items to choose from. Great for families and child friendly. The shawarma is tasty and mid eastern salads were delicious. The laffa bread is baked fresh on site when you order and is baked to perfection.

The chicken shawarma was the best shawarma I’ve had…good price and a lot in quantity. The Matbucha/Matbukha was delicious. The girl that was serving was also very kind and sweet. Will definitely be back. Muchas Gracias!
