What richandsarah likes about Against the Grain:
Vegan options clearly marked on the menu as “plant based”. We went during happy hour and managed to get drinks and starter at a discounted price. Hummus starter was tasty. Mains were quite rich in flavour and filling we had risotto and bolognese View all feedback. What Roselyn Hagenes doesn't like about Against the Grain:
Luckily I double checked if the sauce served with the Jenseitsburger was vegan. It wasn't. The food was great, but it feels like a pretty big oversight. Updated by previous review on 2019-08-19 View all feedback.

read moreAgainst the Grain offers a unique dining experience with their outdoor dome dining option, providing a cozy and atmospheric setting right next to the water. The prix fixe menu includes a variety of appetizers, mains, and desserts, with the option of hot apple cider or wine to accompany your meal. Although the igloos offer a picturesque view, some may find the heaters not warm enough for the winter season. The food is generally well-received, with generous portions and attentive service, making it a memorable dining experience overall.
If it wasn't for a festival in the area, I would never wander into this restaurant that is way out of the downtown core.
