7 West Café - Toronto

I stopped after a late flight to toronto on 7 west cafe. this restaurant is 24 hours so that they can always get good food. the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. eating felt like cooking your mother. it was great comfort. the beverage menu could have had a few more options. but for a late night option everything is better than nothing.

Three of us went at 7pm for dinner. We were seated promptly is the most positive comment I can make. They were out of the three different menu items that each of us ordered, despite the fact that one of the items was listed on...their chalkboard. We were charged for one of the items we didn’t receive. The first person’s dinner came to the table, then 15 minutes later the second person’s dinner arrived and 20 minutes after that the third person’s dinner arrived. Unfortunately, after having waited 35 minutes for her dinner the hamburger was burned to the point where the bun was completely black. When we approached the server we were asked what we wanted done about it. An hour and 15 minutes after ordering the third person received an edible burger. There was no apology or compensation offered.

I can't get enough of this place! The food is absolutely delicious, and the ambience is perfect for a date night.
