Took my son here for our weekly mom and son dinner - he is 6 - he enjoyed the interesting interior and the portion size was perfect for him - the dessert is amazing and the eggplant parmesan was so well prepared - not oily not soggy not crispy - just right - have visited here before for Winterlicious and would definitely go back again. What Dolores Mante doesn't like about 7 Numbers:
We went to seven numbers this evening for dinner and was very disappointed. We were a group of 10 people. They would not allow us to have separate bills. At the end of the dinner we had to spend time dividing up the bill. The calamari was terrible. It was not crispy but very soggy. The meat balls and eggplant were excellent. The fish special was very bland. We found the food much better at the Danforth location. View all feedback.
Ate with my niece, food was excellent, service was good. Place a bit hot and humid but manageable. Good wine,
I went to 7 Numbers on a second order recommendation, local family had heard the place was great, even though their own previous dining experience had been mediocre. We figured that buzz cannot be all wrong, so we would explore. After a meal there last night, we still cannot figure out what the buzz is about! The appetizer was a caprese salad, a fairly simple dish to prepare, a good candidate on a warm evening. But what came was not thinly sliced tomatoes layered with fresh mozzarella and basil, but big wedges of tomatoes surrounding a mound of cheese and some fresh basil scattered randomly around. It is apparently the do-it-yourself version of the caprese salad. For the main course, I had a simple pasta dish, asked for some extra tomato sauce, in the main course size. I got a very modest portion of very bland linguine and a sauce that would come better from a jar--at least then there might be a spice or two. When we asked whether this was, indeed, the main course size, we were told that this was "what was ordered." A second waitress overheard and assured us she would bring another portion, which we interpreted as a gesture to make up for their error. Only when I got home did I check the bill and learn that I had been charged twice, once for a small and once for a main course size! And then, there was the bread. We just returned from a month in France and admit to being spoiled, but even without or loss of reference, the bread rolls were an embarrassment to the name, bland, dry, and ultimately not edible. Please, someone explain to me--what is the buzz about this place? The Danforth is a very competitive market in Toronto with a lot of restaurants. How does one like this survive?

I went to 7 Numbers last night with my son and his girlfriend and we had the 3 course shared meal priced at $34 each. The first course was calamari (the most tender and tasty I had ever had) and 3 different salads, the second course was 3 different pastas and for the final course we each got to choose our own entree. I picked Osso buco, my son went with the lamb shank, and his girlfriend chose the meatballs. They are both hearty eaters and we all felt there was plenty of food for 3 of us. My osso buco was fall-off-the bone tender and very tasty and my son thought it was the best lamb he ever tasted. His girlfriend highly recommended the meatballs and in fact 2 of the 3 of us brought half of our entrees home. They also provided another salad and some great cauliflower with the main course. I have been to Italy a number of times and felt the food was at least as good as anything I ate there. The service was excellent and we felt the meal was worth every cent.I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Not what it used. No longer amazing. Good food not amazing. Very noisy and upbeat. The eggplant was very thin and very very salty. The pasta was a winner really delicious and tasty sauce. Very fresh. Service was awesome. Great wait staff. Beautiful comfortable chairs
