With exceptional service, exquisite food, and a lovely atmosphere, you definitely get value for your money! Our group of five sampled a range of dishes, and each one was delightful. While it may not be a place for everyday dining, it's perfect for special occasions. The menu features a unique blend of Korean and Western flavors, setting it apart from traditional cuisine, and I highly recommend trying it. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Dining Experience: Dine-in Meal Type: Dinner Price per person: $60–70 Recommended Dishes: Korean Charcoal BBQ Feast, Stuffed Chicken Wings, Beef Tartare Parking can be somewhat tricky. There are paid street parking and garages nearby, but be mindful of the strict hours for street parking—be sure to check the signs to avoid tickets! Additionally, the paid garages might have special event rates, which can be a bit unpredictable.

Upon entering, I noticed that the decor felt a bit ou... read more I decided to visit the Michelin-rated Korean restaurant '156 Onefivesix' in Yorkville on a Saturday night. Upon entering, I noticed that the decor felt a bit outdated and in need of some updates. The main level had a rose gold and white scheme, while the upper level featured dark green and mirrors. As soon as we were seated, our server bluntly stated, “we are busy tonight, you will need to leave by 8:30,” which set an off-putting tone for the evening. Since I was fasting and awaiting a third member of our party, we felt rushed to place our orders. When I asked about any specials, the server curtly responded, “No, just what's on the menu.” We ordered, but one dish with truffles was sold out. My mocktail never arrived, and a drink we did receive had its garnish awkwardly reattached by the server's fingers, making us uncomfortable to touch it. On a brighter note, the food was quite good. The stuffed pepper was delicious, and while the stuffed chicken wing was decent, mine was served cold. The dishes came out promptly, which was a plus. The tuna tartare and scallop salad were just okay, but the standout was the strip loin steak; it was perfectly cooked and came with excellent sides for wrapping in lettuce leaves. My favorites were the radishes and apple pear. Overall, it didn’t feel like a Michelin star experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you get a different server.
