Traditional Portuguese food. Would recommend the churrasco a Javali. Half a doce is more than plenty for two good eaters. We regularly visit each summer and this year went with a large group of friends who all enjoyed Javali (Wild Boar)...and Bitoques.

Nothing was too much... read more What a lovely place to celebrate my birthday. The two waiters who looked after us were extremely polite and attentive (Alexandre and Joao). Nothing was too much trouble and they let us take the meal at our own pace. Not being a fan of grated...carrot or olives I asked for my meal to be served without them. Sure enough the meal (veal with mushrooms) turned up exactly as requested. The house white wine is absolutely delicious (with a hint of sparkle). Delicious puddings followed then coffee and a rather large brandy. I have been here before when on holiday and always enjoyed the food and decor but felt that now I live in Portugal it was time to give it a very well deserved thumbs up!
