Following good reviews on TA, I called to make a reservation, using basic Spanish. The member of staff very quickly hung up on me. Not a good start. We then ask... read more Following good reviews on TA, I called to make a reservation, using basic Spanish. The member of staff very quickly hung up on me. Not a good start. We then asked a Spanish speaker from where we were staying to make the booking for us a table for 4 for 8pm. We arrived to a busy and dingy looking cafe (not the 5 stars we were expecting) and waited for 15 minutes with no greeting from waiting staff. We pro actively let them know we had booked a table, to which we received a nod. After no further action, and being briskly brushed past by waiting staff, we left after 25 minutes. Very unfriendly and the food looked very average. DO NOT ATTEND.

Octopus is the king, but taste the malagueñas or bravas, jamon or cheese. The Albariño cosechero is incredible. Good deserts. I recomend the licor cafe. Albert is a perfect waiter, listen to him. A place to coming back and repeat.

Not much English spoken but our daughter speaks Castellanos and everyone was pleasant and friendly. Open, modern, airy interior. Favorite dishes were the tortilla, pimiento peppers, and octopus. Tried ratafia for the first (and probably only) time…
