I had to buy some pasties and this load has inspired me most for the different types in the windows. when I entered, my first impression was confiscated: I was spoiled for the election. Beyond that, the owner was really welcoming, friendly and chatty with me View all feedback.
What terrancethedog doesn't like about The Bay Bakery:
The vegetable pasty tasted alright but the cheese and onion one wasn't good at all and wasn't fond of the shape of it without any crimp. For me aren't traditional at all. Was disappointed with the meringues the fiiling had a sort of raw taste and very sickly. Shortbread had a very cake taste and seemed more like a scone. Service was good and polite. View all feedback.
Great pasty ideal for on the go lunch! Ideal for long train journey. Big, well filled with meat and yum pastry!
We have had sandwiches quite a few times when visiting Torquay and have always been extremely satisfied with the quality of the food. Been again this morning and had a wonderful ham baguette and an amazing chocolate flapjack. Naughty but nice!
Large selection of cakes , pastys , and sandwiches , all super fresh and at decent prices for an independent bakery , girl even corrected herself on a change mistake , full marks for honesty
Stopped for a pasty and pot of tea. Staff super friendly and cheerful. We sat inside as we didn't realise they had a seating area across the road by the harbour. Good selection of cakes and ice-cream.
Every time we visit Torquay we call for a sandwich. Staff are always friendly and the sandwiches are fresh and tasty.
