Green Ginger - Torbay

I had a wonderful afternoon at this restaurant. I ordered my usual mixed grill and wine. The quality of the meat was not the best, but it was great value for the price. The restaurant was very busy, with people leaving and tables being taken before they could be cleaned. I asked someone to clean my table and they did so right away. It's important to remember that this is a Wetherspoons, so if you're expecting top-quality food and a fancy atmosphere, you may be disappointed. However, I find it to be great value and not too fancy. They have great meal deals during the week that offer good value for money. The staff, led by manageress Tracey, are always friendly. If there is an issue with my meal, I approach them respectfully and they are quick to resolve it. Thank you to the staff for a great afternoon.

I was apprehensive after a previous bad experience, but last night I tried the beef Madras from Green Ginger, a Chinese takeaway. It was absolutely delicious. The beef was perfectly cooked and the sauce was amazing. The meal came with two large poppadoms, a large naan bread, and a soft drink, all for under £10. In contrast, I had recently paid £11.70 for a disappointing curry in plastic containers. I highly recommend Green Ginger for their Thursday curry specials!

I was shocked when my breakfast was served cold. I sent it back, but it came back cold again. I got a refund and will never eat breakfast there again or recommend it. It was a disgusting experience.

Terrible service, waited over an hour for our drinks others were served several times before us , when I complained staff they were unhelpful, no apology!! just excuses and then security came over to our table having the audacity to complain about me complaining.

If you are looking to eat out on a budget with good hearty food, I would recommend this place for families and couples place was tidy. Staff were polite and courteous. The food arrived hot I would definitely come back here again.
