This is by far the best super beef I've ever tasted. The staff is wonderful, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the food is simply exceptional! I dined in for lunch, and the price per person was around $10–20. Overall, I would rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5. You need to serve better salad it's disappointing when you pay $15 for a salad made of iceberg lettuce and few other ingredients. Alex's is one of the top three greatest beefs (three-way of course) I've ever had, and my partner and I both grew up on the Northshore and have tried every roast beef shop in the area. The beef was tender, the sauce was flavorful, and the bun was soft and slightly buttered. We've resolved to make a point of visiting this hidden gem every time we travel up north.
