Despite giving it another chance after a previous bad experience, my recent visit was also disappointing. On a Saturday night, before 10pm, my party was the only customers left in the restaurant. Even though the stated closing time was 11pm, the staff had already turned off the music and gathered around the bar area, standing close together. This made for a very uncomfortable atmosphere and ultimately ruined our evening. I felt intimidated by the staff, who were watching us closely. I have decided not to return to this restaurant and will no longer even consider ordering takeout. It's a shame because the restaurant has a nice ambiance. PWood is in need of more quality evening dining options as it becomes deserted after 8pm. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to Simla and I am sure others feel the same way.

The manager, Abdul, is always friendly and welcoming. However, in our recent visits, we found the food to be disappointing. The Korma was unusually thick and stuck to the spoon, while the Rogan seemed overcooked. We were not offered the dessert menu and no one checked in to see if we were enjoying our meal. Abdul was also not present during our visit. We hope that Simla can improve their dishes and service in the future.

Sat down at 6:30pm and it took 30 minutes for our drinks order to be served (table of 7) after having to ask the staff several times. Our starters arrived an hour after our arrival and our main courses served at 8pm. The staff appeared too busy with the ‘take away’ orders to pay us any attention. Food was not the best and considering lots was left on our plates, no one asked how our meal was. When booking had identified we were celebrating 2 family birthdays and no mention was made. One friendly waitress but apart from that we would not go back.

We we... read more Just moved to Paddock Wood, from Maidstone. We were spolied by the selection of high quality Indian restaurants in Maidstone, so we had high expectations. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent. Hot, tasty food and friendly service. We would highly recommend them. We will definitley be going there again. Thanks Simla!
