I absolutely adored this restaurant. It felt like heaven to me. I enjoyed a scrumptious Brie sandwich and homemade cake, all while being surrounded by beautiful vintage home décor, textiles, plants, taxidermy, lamps, and cozy leather chairs. Love this place. Great coffee, bacon butty and sausage Butty both exceptional. The cakes are also very good. Lovely staff to. Can’t fault it

I enjoyed my visit to Weathered and Worn’s café. I did try to call beforehand to check if they were open but their voicemail says you can’t book a table (so I deduced they were open! There was a somewhat limited choice for vegans but I had a lovely salad with a good helping of hummus, olives and roasted red peppers. There were lots of cakes, two of which were vegan, so I took a piece away. It was delicious. The cold drinks options were good. My friend and I enjoyed the elderflower drink. I didn’t ask regarding dairy-free milk for coffees but I’d be surprised if they didn’t. For veggies and vegans I’d recommend a summer visit and sit in the garden, as otherwise you will not be able to avoid coming face to face with the examples of taxidermy in the shop, which I find pretty distasteful, personally (and had I known about it beforehand I may not have visited! But all in all, a pleasant experience.
So pleased to have found this place. Have driven past for years, and assumed it was just a tat shop, then walked in one day and found a great little cafe, more tea room than shop, selling delicious home made sandwiches. Friendly efficient service. Cakes and coffees look great but need to wait for another visit (may need to skip the sandwiches and go straight for the cake oh what a dilemma! also a pleasant sunny garden to sit out in. So pleased to have found this, will not be able to drive through Hadlow again without stopping.
Have been coming here regularly for years now and it never disappoints. The food is delicious, as are the coffees and cakes. The staff make this cafe, their enthusiasm is infectious and kindness is always appreciated by all.
