I ordered the pork from the early bird menu with chips, as recommended by the friendly waitress. I was really disappointed as the pork was very fatty and the skin was not crispy as it should be. It was soft and gel-like. The pork was overcooked and tough. The dish did not come with kale or asparagus as listed on the menu, only overcooked broccoli. The waiter mentioned that it was how the dish was supposed to be, which I found hard to believe. My dad's dish, the smashed haddock, was quite good and I have no complaints about that. When I complained about my meal, they offered to bring me another dish. I opted for the most popular dish, the ham cake, which I had enjoyed in the past. However, when it arrived, the cake was hard and the chicken was dry with no sauce. The dish was so hot that it burned my throat and mouth. The chips were dark brown and the vegetables were overcooked. No one came to check on how our meal was going, and we were left feeling very disappointed. We ended up leaving without finishing our meal and no one behind the bar seemed to care. We were not offered a refund and it felt like we were being charged for a meal that we did not enjoy at all. It was a terrible experience.
We dined at Vauxhall yesterday and had a fantastic meal. The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the staff was friendly. Millie, our waitress, was particularly welcoming and helpful. We frequent Vauxhall often because they also offer a fantastic gluten-free menu.
I highly recommend the Vauxhall Inn in Tonbridge for their amazing food. My family and I enjoy coming here for a cozy lunch, as they have a wide menu selection to choose from. Our favorite dish from the lighter lunch menu is the seabass florentine, and you can also add a starter or dessert for a great value. The menu even lists the calorie content of each meal. They also have a weekly special board that offers a lot of variety. We recently celebrated my husband's birthday here and had a delicious dinner with the family. Natasha, the hostess, and all the staff are friendly and welcoming. The interior has a cozy countryside style and they serve local ales along with a good selection of beers and spirits. The pub has a beautiful large beer garden with plenty of outdoor seating, as well as wheelchair-friendly options inside and outside. There is also ample parking available. The Vauxhall Inn is a family-friendly pub that is popular with dog walkers. There is a Premier Inn next door for those looking to stay overnight. We visited last night and had a wonderful evening. That's all.

My Husband and I visited the Vauxhall this evening and were so impressed. The food was freshly cooked, hot and tasty. Our Waiter was Jake, he was very personable, attentive and efficient. We will definitely be returning soon.
