The food was fantastic and we had a great time at the restaurant. There was a small mistake with one of our side dishes, but it was handled very professionally, especially considering how busy the restaurant was. The steaks and lobster were cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The staff were excellent. We will definitely return. Thank you. View all feedback.

Visited on Friday 15th September for 1st time with my husband for my birthday! Reception not friendly. Upon entry we were advised my husbands attire wouldn’t be accepted on any future visits! Starter king prawns which were tiny, over cooked very chewy. Not fresh. Chateaubriand fatty lumps dry, not medium rear as requested. Booked as an anniversary dinner with my partner. This was mentioned in an email and when we booked. We were advised about the specials, or asked about food allergies/ intolerance. I am garlic intolerant and I have to choose carefully. I ordered the scallops plain and my partner had the lobster mac and cheese. As soon as my 3 scallops arrived i could nd smell the garlic. I couldn't eat them so my partner ate them . Main course was crab/ lobster salad and new potatoes for me. Partner ordered half a lobster . My saladhad miniscule amounts of crab and lobster , with sliced COLD new potatoes My partner's lobster arrived with chips instead of the sweet potato fries he ordered. I asked for salt and pepper . Without looking I ground both pots onto my salad. I then realised they were both salt ! My partner's lobster had a tiny bit of meat in one claw and the tail. I would say a tablespoon full. Total disappointment for a special occasion We won't be eating there again. Our waitress was friendly and helpful The table next to me were celebrating a birthday . I heard the waiting staff who was the birthday girl and explain about the food allergies and allergens
Yes Yes Yes!!!!! Make sure you book this restaurant. You will not walk in for dinner here. I always target a restaurant when i visit a town and this was on my radar. The evening was fully booked so we walked in for lunch on a Saturday. From the second we got there the staff were class, i walked in early asking if they would be open today and they welcomed my family in early happy to let us settle where we liked whilst they did their thing. Straight away staff were friendly and engaging my children with smiles and conversation which is so important for us as the experience of eating out is as important for the kids. Great Menu, and even better beef. I thought a 10 ounce steak was too heavy, but it was so good i could have had more, great choice of different cuts and grade. I had the reserve and i dont think i can go back to standard beef.. Pay the extra, have it slightly rarer than you would normally because my reserve sirloin was as good as a standard fillet steak. Not as impressed by the lobster but perhaps we have been spoilt by spiney lobster which is sweeter so if you havent had that this perhaps is ok. We will be travelling again to visit this restaurant. I didnt run through our starters because the steak spoke for itself. But, i loved the crab and the broccoli was outstanding. Deserts also hit the spot, cant fault it. I

Won’t be revisiting.
I regret to say that I will not be dining at this restaurant again. Although the food is good, they have recently stopped including chips with their steak meals, forcing customers to pay extra for a basic meal. This feels like a greedy tactic, similar to reducing the size of chocolate bars or serving cold food at Greggs. If people continue to accept these changes, they might start charging for salad as well.
We used love this place but now they have started charging separately for chips on steak meals, which is unacceptable. We won’t be going back.
