I wanted a JELLY donut and TOASTED COCONUT donut. She assured me the jelly is injected and that it would be full of jelly. Nope, not so. The TOASTED COCONUT has absolutely no flavor except the thick layer of icing they use to keep the coconut on. Horrible. EVERY DONUT TASTES THE SAME. Not good, any of them. The donuts are tasty but quite sweet; we struggled to finish them in one sitting. Reducing the sweetness a bit would help bring out the natural flavors of the ingredients more.
Fantastic as always! I called 20 minutes before our group arrived today, and it was a huge success. Everyone loved the food!
My boyfriend and I make it a point to visit the seaside as often as we can, and one of our favorite traditions during these trips is stopping at Uncle Dood's for donuts on our way home. As a pastry chef, I love exploring local bakeries, and my boyfriend has a particular fondness for donuts, which makes this place special for both of us. Without a doubt, these are the best donuts we've ever had. Each time we visit, they are just as delicious as we remember. While they're best enjoyed warm and fresh, we still savor them over the next 24-36 hours (haha). The service is quick and friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the donuts are worth every penny and more. Oh, and the coffee was fantastic too!
Some of the best doughnuts I’ve ever had in my life. They put the toppings on when you order, so no crusty old doughnuts that have been sitting around for hours. Also they are so reasonably priced IMO! Get the Samoa!
