What Peggy Snyder doesn't like about The New Silverton Diner:
Went here last night 8:15pm had two dinners from the small plates menu $12.99. Food was good and plentiful. The issue is what we were charged. Waitress wrote $12.99 on the check. Yet charges us $16.99 . She never came back to clear plates from soup and salad. I questioned the charges she said oh $12.99 was a mistake new price is $16.99. Makes no sense ! Sat at the counter no one came to me till finally a waitress came over. She was nice
The onion soup was delicious. My steak fajita was over cooked. The rice was like eating a butter stick. average at best. At one time this was a good place. Looks like a run down truck stop in the middle of nowhere!! The counter is run down the rugs looks like they were used an abused. How does this place pass health code. Little flys are your dinner buddy. This might be my last time. I haven't been here in 12 or 14 years. The best part was my waitress. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to your job!!
I walked in and was given a table. Told lady im going to the bathroom and when I came back out. My table was given to a white couple. FYI over 10 table empty but lady who collects the money gave my table to someone else. The lady seems a little upset when she see me walk in the front door every time. However, I'm not going to assumed. I'm just saying.
Good, reliable food. Nothing fancy but tasty. Clean diner, clean bathroom.
Clean, cheerful and very helpful staff, food prepared quickly and hot.
