Contribute FeedbackBrim House offers a charming atmosphere and exceptional service, making it an inviting spot for special occasions. While many guests raved about the delicious entrees and complimentary treats, others expressed disappointment with the menu items, citing overcooked dishes and miscommunication regarding orders. Some diners also experienced delays in seating and service. Despite the inconsistent food quality, the kind and attentive staff contributed positively to the overall experience. With its diverse vegan options and appealing ambiance, Brim House remains a noteworthy destination worth revisiting for those willing to give it another try.
I recently had brunch at Brim with my partner, and our guest. The meeting was both a personal as well as a professional one. We chose the place because we were looking for someplace special and a little upscale for the occasion. We were hosting our guest. Upon arriving at our table, it became apparent that the tables across from us were not being bussed. Dirty plates and left over food looked as if they had been there for quite awhile. I asked the server to clear them. Some half hour or so later, I asked again, and finally the tables were cleared. Our food came out one plate at a time, to the point where each of us literally ate our entrees alone. Brunch took over two hours just to get our food and eat. We had to leave before my guest was finished for another commitment. Our guest ordered the shimp creole as recommended and described by our server, but was surprised when it arrived, a version of eggs benedict. The server never indicated this in her description. At least the mis-order was taken off our bill without any attitude. My omelet came out late and was badly overdone. We finally received ketchup and hot sauce three quarters of the way through our meal, well after my partner was finished. At no time did a manager come out, check on us. My partner and I eat out a lot, business and pleasure, but this was by far the worst experience I've had in quite awhile. As the bill with tip was over a hundred dollars, not truck stop diner prices, I expected a great deal more. I'm sure the server who remained cheerful was not solely to blame, but clearly training and supervision was missing.
Not only was the food incredibly bland, but it was insanely overpriced for the quality. The coffee is atrocious. The server confused the two meals that we ordered and couldn’t figure out why they were wrong. When it was pointed out to her, she barely apologized. Go down the street to City Egg or to The Brew House. Much better quality, prices and service. Also, they have no idea how to get anything gluten free.
The server was polite and knowledgeable about the menu. She recommended a meal and it was excellent! The restaurant was nice, the service was exceptional and the food was great!
I wish I had read the reviews beforehand. Just like most people mentioned, the slow service here is awful. After an hour of waiting, we only received our drinks, which took a long time to arrive. We decided to order appetizers and our main course at the same time to try to speed things up, but unfortunately, our appetizers never showed up. The short ribs were very tough. On the bright side, the Bravette steak and Burger were tasty. The atmosphere was great, but I don't think I'll be returning.
We visited the Brim House to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary. We started with the fresh baked bread with herb/garlic butter. The bread came out piping hot and was delicious. We ordered the aged filet and short ribs. Both meals were cooked perfectly with amazing flavor. The manager congratulated us on our anniversary and offered a complimentary bottle of champagne or dessert. We opted for the dessert, which was equally as good as our meals. Thank you for such an enjoyable experience, we highly recommend The Brim House.
