Traditional place for the nonviolent aspect of society. Kind of reminds me of a poor man Cheers from the TV show. Most of the bullets know each other. There is a $5 annual membership fee with a membership card and all. You have fried a kitchen with all things with an occasional offer of spaghetti. A good place to watch people, play cards and listen to music from Back in the Day. Look at it. View all feedback.
Nice place friendly people good food and spirts check out is out
Another spot you would never know existed unless you know somebody that knows somebody. U heard? So you have to be a member to get in. And you have to know somebody that is a member. The whole thing just tickled me. They even got a guy at the door that laminates your $5 membership card. He didn't get why I was giggling. $5 to get into what looks like somebody's house. Anyway they have a kitchen up front. You holler n the lady comes out. My buddy orders catfish chicken okra fries and side of spaghetti. Food was just OK. Catfish had zero seasoning. This is a no no for supposed soul food. Never got my fries which is expected for the type of spot it is. Aka hole in the wall. Nice liquor selection though with Ketel One and Jameson. Very surprising. Everyone is nice. Even the girl I walked in on sitting on the toilet talking on her phone just said that's OK and went back to her call. Crowd was primarily over 40 African Americans. Jazz n blues music mostly. If I never use my membership again its OK. I can take it or leave it
Not a place for the undesirables. Caters to the older classy group. Very nice place to laugh and talk.
This is by far the absolute worst place i have ever visited, i was there visting from Florida, my uncles took me there to have a drink. well, i 'm 39yrs old and i guess i fit the look of a younger male,or trouble maker. the looks i received from the employee let me know that i was NOT welcome. the up and down looks i seen made me really uncomfortable. after ordering a drink one of the guys came over and asked me to tuck my shirt in, im looking around and there were NOT ONE male with his shirt tucked in. he said it 's to keep the gangs out . so me tucking my shirt in, wiill keep a certain groups of people out, wow didn 't know i had that power. but instead of that I just waited outside until my uncles were ready to leave, I didn 't want to mess up their night. i really dislike this place for how they treated me, and made me feel. I wish i had never gone there.
Great atmosphere, delightful drinks and food, friendly staff, and delicious meals!
