It was a chilly fall day, and the fireplace was crackling with fire. Our server was friendly and attentive, and our food was perfectly prepared and exactly to our specifications. It arrived at our table promptly. However, the restaurant could really benefit from a soft-close feature on the door to the porch dining area, as it slammed repeatedly and disrupted the atmosphere. Overall, I would rate the food a solid 5.

I alerted the staff about the croutons, and instead of understanding, the person I spoke with reacted negatively and tried to shift the blame onto me for the error. She then engaged in a loud argument with the person who took my order, making the situation even more uncomfortable. After much reluctance, she offered to prepare another salad for me, but at that point, I was concerned about how my new meal would be handled. Pings Grill is not a suitable option for anyone with dietary restrictions or for those seeking good customer service. I doubt they fully understand what gluten-free entails. Our office will not be ordering from them again, and I strongly advise others to be cautious—it's clear they need to better educate themselves about Celiac disease and gluten-free diets before someone suffers adverse effects.

I paired mine with sweet potato fries while my friend chose onion rings. My mother had grilled shrimp along with a salad that came with blue cheese dressing; she mentioned that the dressing lacked a lot of flavor. The fourth member of our group ordered the Chef's salad, which was enormous. It would be better served in a large bowl instead of on a plate, as it was that big and would have been easier to mix. Overall, it was a delightful lunch.
