I liked the atmosphere, which made me think that I had stumbled on some exotic underground eaterie. The proprietor was knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. The menu was not extensive but certainly designed to titivate the carniverous tastebuds. In the evening I prefer to avoid excessive protein roasted, I'm not so sure. What Katej doesn't like about The Cellar:
Nice venue but no ice for drinks and wrong mixer given. Plates and food were cold, all meats were fatty and chewy, youkshire puddings were dense, flat, and hard. Seemed like some of the food had been precooked and reheated such as the blacky brown soggy roast potatoes. However the saving grace were the desserts, they were deliscious, and the company I was with. View all feedback.
This place was closed on the day that was required to find another restuarent
Since the restaurant had closed, it should not really get any stars at all 1 stars exaggerated it. it should be removed from the side.
Bad service, no weinlist, left before order, menu limited
Beautiful place, but no ice for drinks and false mixer given. teller and eating were cold, all flesh were fat and chewing, youkshire puddings were dense, flat and hard. as if some of the foods had been precooked and reheated, like the black brown soggy bratkartoffeln. but the saving gnade were the desserts, they were deliscious, and the company I was with.

The menu was not extensive but certainly designed to titivate the carniverous tastebuds. In the evening I prefer to avoid excessive protein roasted, I'm not so sure. My main was fish chips, the chips were dry appeared rather overcooked. There was also a powerful dirty mop smell pervading the room which further marred the experience. All that having been said, I'd like to give The Cellar another go, this time with my appetite fully primed
