We arrived at 11:30 a.m. and ordered the Popeye seafood pizza. We sat and enjoyed the view, but at 12:00 p.m. our pizza still hadn't arrived. At 12:15 p.m. we asked where our food was, and the chef informed us that it would take an additional 20 minutes because the fire wasn't hot enough. We decided to leave and we won't be back. If they serve pizza for lunch, why wasn't it prepared earlier?
Good coffee friendly staff and a great breakfast muffin. Very enjoyable sitting outside with a fantastic view. They do dolphin feeding at 8 am every morning which i missed unfortunately next time
This place is great. The staff are so friendly helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Our little dog was also very welcome scored a treat. All our meals were great, the home made lasagna, chicken schnitzels the T bone was juicy ...very tender cooked to perfection as were the veggies. 10/10. Worth many visits. We will definately be back.
During my vacation in charming Tin Can Bay, I struggled to find a restaurant open for breakfast. However, during the July school holidays, we discovered Barnacles Cafe at the dolphin feeding area, which was open every day from 7am. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the menu was typical but the meals were fresh and tasty. They also served great coffee. The outdoor dining area had plenty of tables with views of the estuary, where you could watch the dolphin feeding at 8am daily. Parking could be difficult as there were only a few spaces outside the cafe, but if those were full, you would have to park further down due to the nearby boat ramps and trailer parking. Despite the parking situation, with limited breakfast options in this quiet seaside town, Barnacles is a great choice due to their delicious meals, waterfront location, and friendly staff. I highly recommend trying their bacon egg rolls, hash browns, and big breakfast for a satisfying start to the day.
