It can be a pleasant experience for tourists trying the banatian (western romanian) dishes for the first time. My absolute favourite dish is the mititei (mici) (grilled ground meat...rolls in cylindrical shape made from a mixture of beef, lamb and/or pork with spices, such as garlic, black pepper, thyme, coriander, anise, savory, and sometimes a touch of paprika). Not a cheap place, but well worth to eat there. Atmosphere is also nice, on a terrace near the Bega river.

Tried a bunch of food options, my favorite is the diavola pizza they have, the also have one hell of a hot sauce for people who are into spicy food, their seafood paella is also...tasty. Would recomand!

Only 1 minute p... read more We went to this restaurant with two old ladies and a child. We found a free table and we sat, waiting for the waiter to come and take our order. Only 1 minute passed and a very very arrogant waiter came and ordered us to...leave the table and move because we were blocking his passage! The table next to us had 5 people around it , but the waiter could have easily circled around it, it was just half a meter detour! Instead he rudely dismissed two old and very sick ladies and a child! I have never experienced such a disgusting and shameful experience in any restaurant, ever. Service is absolutely distasteful. And disgraceful.

Besides that, the entrace door was always opened and the cold air from outside was in the room where we ate. I will never come back. I visited Riviere...many times but everything was bad this time, the food and the atmosphere were not satisfied
