Backyard Cafe - Tillmans Corner
Backyard Cafe
Description
This establishment has garnered a mix of praise and criticism, showcasing its flavorful soul food while grappling with inconsistent service and pricing concerns. Diners rave about the delicious turkey wings, seafood gumbo, and tender barbecue ribs, often remarking on generous portions and friendly service. However, frequent closures and limited operating hours frustrate regular patrons, leading some to reconsider their loyalty. Additionally, some guests have found certain dishes, like the mac and cheese, underwhelming in quality for the price. Overall, while cherished for its home-cooked charm, consistency remains a significant hurdle for this soul food gem.
Feedback
The Barbecue ribs And mac cheese is absolutely the most delicious in town hands down. There mac cheese however needs a lot of grooming. I am giving a rating of 3 due to the fact that this restaurant is ALWAYS CLOSED! It seems as if they are only opened about 3 days out of a week. I stopped going to the restaurant due to constantly being disappointed with them being closed. I can't take a business serious that store hours are inconsistent
Get there early because 2 hours before closing, the employees start packing a bunch of Togo plates to take home leaving the customer with nothing but scraps they didn't want.
Nice caffe with fast service. I had the bbq rips, collars and the green beans. also her peach-bubber. the personal was friendly. good sweet tee.
I went today around 3pm and bought a smothered pork chop plate with Mac n cheese, corn, and rice. The pork chop was good and tender. The Mac n cheese was sub par due to it being overcooked and mushy and flavorless. Also felt the amount of food was inadequate for the price of almost $12. I also asked for extra pork chop and it was $5 extra. No thanks but other than that customer service was nice and friendly.
