Two weeks ago, I ordered takeout and enjoyed the usual fresh-tasting food with generous portions that I’ve come to expect. However, yesterday I ordered two meals, just like I did two weeks ago, around 5:30 PM. When I brought it home, I was extremely disappointed. The rice was hard and tasted old, with a large piece of overcooked egg. The chicken chow mein had a flavor reminiscent of canned food, the shrimp was tough and chewy, and the sweet and sour chicken was stringy and hard. To make matters worse, all of the deep-fried items were clearly old and overcooked in dirty oil. The portions were significantly smaller, as if they came from the bottom of the pan. I used to rave about this restaurant, and I really hope this isn't going to be the new standard, especially for $35.
