Lin's - Tillamook
Lin's
Description
A longtime small-town favorite for American-style Chinese, this restaurant often serves generous, nostalgic plates—good rice, egg flower soup, kung pao and shrimp—with family-friendly portions and a casual lounge offering bar drinks. Service and kitchen consistency vary: visits range from excellent to slow, cold, or error-prone; recent issues include higher prices, smaller or overcooked fried items, chewy seafood, and order mistakes. Cleanliness and wait times can fluctuate, but accessibility and kid-friendly options keep it a practical choice for families and takeout.

The food is generally quite good, although the chef seems to put in more effort on some days than others. One downside is that they sometimes only include one fortune cookie with takeout, which is a bit disappointing since we really enjoy cookies at home!
We were in search of a pet-friendly restaurant, and the owner welcomed our pet. The food was absolutely delicious, and I will definitely return!
What happened? Two weeks ago, I ordered takeout and enjoyed the usual fresh-tasting food with generous portions that I’ve come to expect. However, yesterday I ordered two meals, just like I did two weeks ago, around 5:30 PM. When I brought it home, I was extremely disappointed. The rice was hard and tasted old, with a large piece of overcooked egg. The chicken chow mein had a flavor reminiscent of canned food, the shrimp was tough and chewy, and the sweet and sour chicken was stringy and hard. To make matters worse, all of the deep-fried items were clearly old and overcooked in dirty oil. The portions were significantly smaller, as if they came from the bottom of the pan. I used to rave about this restaurant, and I really hope this isn't going to be the new standard, especially for $35.
We had a great dinner year our second to last day staying near Pacific City. Great portions. Kids loved the egg flower soup, bbq pork. They even commented on how good the rice was. Kung Pao chicken was great, and the fried wontons. Our favorite Chinese food place in Corvallis closed over 10 years ago. It was the only place where everyone enjoyed eating. This is the first Chinese food place we've found since then that the whole family has enjoyed. We told them they need to open a restaurant in the valley.
