I would genuinely give this restaurant an even lower rating if I could! The atmosphere was very unwelcoming, almost hostile. Unless you're a local or have a personal connection with the owner, I recommend steering clear of this place. The staff showed indifference and looked irritated when they had to pause their conversations to acknowledge me. I will definitely not be coming back!

This pub is definitely worth a visit. You should check it out for yourself and see what your impression is. Nestled on the village green, it boasts a delightful atmosphere. Village cricket games are regularly held here, and the River Wey flowing along the edge of the garden adds to its charm. If this pub isn't to your liking, there's another excellent option just down the road, as a well-known former landlord once pointed out.

This restaurant has a perfect location—my younger grandson absolutely loves cricket! It's located in an area that was featured in a magazine as one of the best village greens in the country, and it truly lives up to that praise! The beer is excellent, and the charming village atmosphere adds to the experience. I typically stop by around once a month, but I wish I could come more often. The outdoor seating, both at the front and back, is wonderful, especially on sunny days!
