I chose Marenca's simply through a Google map search for nearby restaurants, and I really have to say WOW! The staff made every attempt to help me out (and Google translating their menu helped a ton)... I decided on the filet mignon with mushrooms and mashed potatoes. This dish, in whatever sauce it was, was one of the tastiest meals I've had in a long time. Staff was great, the food was incredible, and the atmosphere very pleasing. I doubt my travels will bring me back to Tijuana, but while we're still here, there's a good chance we'll be back!

While they were obviously not established with the intent of accommodating English speaking guests, they went above and beyond to understand our wants and desires and to fulfill them completely despite the language barrier. Their sauces were some of the best I've ever eaten.
