What User doesn't like about Gato Blanco:
is a very famous rest ideal to take ctes from the outside to see something different the food is homemade and the portions are to share the menu is very varied and extensive the wine menu average level the affordable prices taking into account that you are on the delta if you have own boat service worth parking nautical View all feedback.
We've been there for over 30 years. Coming from the USA, we go there almost every year when we visit Argentina. We haven't been since the pandemic. The Ojo de Bife is still fantastic. The waiter who had worked there and always remembered that we were not there, and we had terrible service. I think they were overwhelmed with too many customers (unfortunate). I don't know if I'm going back. It takes too long to get from Puerto Madero. There is a restaurant in San Telmo that also has Ojo de Bife.
What a find! Excellent food and brilliant service in this restaurant on the river. Only accessible by boat, make sure you secure a table with a view. The food is cooked to order and is excellent. The team speaks good English and the menu is varied from simple lunch to full BBQ experience. Just lunch. Perhaps the only restaurant in the area with parking for your boat!
Beautiful view, real estate and very good food. We had a table reserved and were warmly welcomed. The grilled fish was excellent and portions very generous. Beautiful wine selection at very fair prices. Also the white cat and the occasional dog that surrounds are great entertainment. Very good a visit and nice stop while boating on the river.
About hyped and waaaay overpriced. Food is very, very average. About a Denny's restaurant. The waiter has given up 2 or 3 commands. They gave us bread and butter (we did not ask) then they had the nerve to invite us later for bread. I also ordered a chicken dish and the waiter asked if I wanted pommes or salad. Suppose it was included - I was later also charged for the Pommes! The bill for a simple, not very good lunch was $98 USD!!!!!!!!
It may be that a 50-minute boat ride on public transport is a lot of paco for some but admire our delta road to a beautiful restarant on the shores of the Sarmiento and enjoy our meats and roasted river fish is unpayable! Granny portions, cooked at your point, Good selection of wines, all very ours to spend an amazing day, to say that the penalty is little. Our country is incredibly beautiful! It maybe be a bit too much to go on a 50min voy on a public transport boat just for lunch for some but enjoying the Delta on the way to a beautiful restaurant located by the Sarmiento River couldn't be more worth it! Generous portions cooked to perfection (well, I am Argentinian) , good selection of wines, couldn't ask for more. Best day out I had for while, and in my own amazing country!
