Countertop service mixed with Japanese cuisine Yes please! To say good things come in small packages is an understatement about this place! Tucked away in a small strip mall at the corner of Scholls Ferry Rd Nimbus, this is that close to home, comfort food spot with a Japanese flair. But be prepared to wait if it’s crowded because it’s smaller than most places but that’s ok. What it lacks in space will definitely be... View all feedback.
What Chul Lee doesn't like about Mugen Noodle:
Food was great. Service not so much. But they have a great selection of food and beer.I ordered the spicy miso ramen. The restaurant is pretty small. Recommend outdoor seating as inside is a bar seating. Plenty of parking space. View all feedback.
One of my favorite spots for dinner. Their katsu kare is excellent. The staff is very friendly. Food: 5/5
A quaint and truly authentic ramen noodle bar, this little gem offers a well-curated selection instead of an overwhelming menu, making it easy to find just the right dish to satisfy your hunger. The prices are reasonable, the wait time is minimal, and the friendly staff are eager to engage in conversation if you're in the mood.
I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this establishment. They refuse to allow service dogs inside. Our dog, who is a highly-trained hearing service dog, is used to sitting quietly in public spaces, including bar stools, and there was plenty of room for us. The restaurant was practically empty except for two other patrons, yet we were denied entry because of our dog. Today was cold and rainy, and I wanted to sit indoors, out of the elements due to my arthritis. Despite seeing our large service dog, the staff member dismissed us by claiming there wasn't enough room and suggested we sit outside instead. It was clear that we had chosen to come after the lunch rush intentionally, and the denial felt both unwarranted and discriminatory. We have reported this incident to the Oregon American Disabilities Act authorities, as this is both illegal and unacceptable behavior. We won't engage with ignorance; instead, we are ensuring others are aware of this discrimination. We'll be sharing our experience across all social media platforms—Google, Yelp, Facebook, Instagram, and others—to inform anyone needing service animals to steer clear of this place. This experience led us to a wonderful alternative called Red Curry just across the street. The food was delicious, and the staff were welcoming and accommodating to our service dog, even providing her with a bowl of water. There are many other ramen options available, and we will choose to support those instead. This restaurant has lost potential repeat customers due to their discriminatory practices. Discrimination in this day and age is truly disappointing, and it reflects poorly on their reputation. We may never know how good their food is, but given the circumstances, our business will go elsewhere. Parking: Extremely difficult to find parking here. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Parking options: Free lot, but very challenging to navigate.
I ordered the Tori Paitan with Chashu and the recommended chili oil. First off, the price is unbeatable compared to other ramen bowls. The quality and presentation at this price point were truly impressive. The flavor was excellent, and the noodles were thick and chewy. The tamago was enormous and bursting with flavor. The Chashu was rich, tender, and perfectly seared. I visited shortly after lunch, so I can imagine that seating and service might be slower during dinner hours. Overall, with the friendly staff and delicious food, it's definitely worth the wait.
**Dining Experience:** Lunch **Food Rating:** 4/5 **Service Rating:** 5/5 **Atmosphere Rating:** 3/5 **Recommended Dish:** Miso Ramen I enjoyed my lunch at this restaurant, with the food being quite tasty, earning a solid 4 out of 5. The service was outstanding, definitely a highlight of my visit, so I’m giving it a perfect 5. However, the atmosphere felt a bit lacking, which is why I rated it a 3. I highly recommend trying the Miso Ramen!
