Under new management, the waitress was handling everything on her own with skill. I suggested that the restaurant should be renovated to better suit its surroundings. Currently, it doesn't live up to its name, Moon Rock Cafe. The tables are plain and resemble a basic cafeteria. The waitress mentioned that the new owner plans to give the place a makeover, which I hope comes to fruition soon. Despite the need for impro... View all feedback.

If you're visiting the CSIRO - Tidbinbilla Canberra Deep Space Centre, there is a cafe located inside. Located 24km away from its nearest competitor, the cafe is able to charge higher prices. Keep in mind that prices may be slightly higher, especially since it was a Sunday.
Stressed out and rude stuff cannot cope with the influx of customers at lunch time. Need to either get more efficient staff or extra staff. Waited a long time to get order taken and then a long time to get served. Politely asked how the order was going a blonde lady who seems to do most of the food preparation rudely said "There is only one of me. You will have to wait. Capeesh!" I was going to fire back but thought better off writing it up on Trip Advisory. Food is also very over priced for basic food because there is no other cafes around for 30km. My advice is to avoid this place all together and bring a picnic lunch where you can sit on the lawns and enjoy the beautiful views of the giant space dishes.
Husband and I visited mid morning and decided to have a late breakfast. Tasty, hot toasted sandwiches and large, super cold milkshakes.......but the scones! YUM! Will come back again just for the scones alone. Great cafe, lovely staff.
The friendliest lady and very good coffee, plus a great view from the terrace outside. I definitely recommend it.
